In fiber and filament spinning process, polymer must be melted and flow into the spinneret or spinning beam through multi-layered wire mesh filters. The function of the filter is filtration, dirt-holding, dispersion and drainage etc.
 
Filter is made of stainless steel wire mesh, aluminium wire mesh, nickel-plated wire mesh, brass wire mesh, galvanized square wire mesh and other available wire cloth as media. Typically, filter is framed by aluminium, brass, and stainless steel.
